This is the first time that Flare Audio has worked with the Formula One industry. Flare’s unique products help manage distractions and provide high-tech hearing protection, which is especially useful in the busy and intense F1 environment. The collaboration will run from 2025 and will see BWT Alpine Formula One Team and Flare work together to examine how sound and noise both on and off the track can affect the team and wider crew, whilst applying solutions using the latest in audio developments.

Following over a decade in the pro audio industry, Flare Audio has been driving forward a new approach to sound solutions, seeking to reduce damaging distortion and help improve people’s relationship with sound. This has also seen the launch of Flare Labs, the company’s R&D arm which creates innovation prototypes, perfected through market testing and customer feedback. Flare Labs will work alongside BWT Alpine Formula One Team and their drivers to test new ideas, hone existing products and further push forward cutting-edge sound solutions to maximise performance as well as ear health.

The company will provide BWT Alpine Formula One Team with a range of products including high-end certified earplugs to give the team appropriate protection. Flare will work with the race team to further develop hearing products to help them perform at a higher level through reduction in brain fatigue. They will also build a case study of the effects of track noise, including garage noise, to aid the team in building a health strategy to protect the longevity of the teams’ hearing.

As well as hearing protection, Flare will provide stress and sound relieving sleeping aids to ensure BWT Alpine Formula One Team employees get good rest for maximum performance and focus. They will also provide their Calmer range; a specially designed, passive, in-ear wave guide, that minimises distortion, reducing over-stimulating and triggering frequencies to reduce distractions and calm the wearer’s environment.

As part of the collaboration, Flare will make co-branded BWT Alpine Formula One Team audio solutions available in stores both trackside and online. Fans will be able to purchase the same kit tested, used, and approved by the team.
