Working
Calmer is unique in that they work with the natural shape of our ears without blocking the ear canal. It features a hollow chamber that helps reduce harsh frequencies without obstructing airflow or normal sound transmission.
Unlike traditional earplugs, Calmer doesn’t block sound entirely. Instead, it smooths out sharp peaks while maintaining clarity, so you can still hear conversations and ambient noise naturally.
Soothing
Calmer soften stress-inducing mid-frequency distortions (around 2 kHz–8 kHz), which can make sounds like alarms, chewing, or high-pitched voices feel less jarring. Essentially, Calmer fine-tunes how sound waves interact with your ears, reducing stress-triggering noise without compromising awareness.

Our Story
The very first Flare products came to life at our first Flare HQ – a garage in our founders garden. As a small team of three we designed and built our first loudspeakers and provided PA for gigs and festivals.
