Got me through holiday chaos

I originally had the Flare Calmer Pros, but they were too large for my ears and Flare customer service was kind enough to send me a pair of the Minis. I just got done with a solid week of working a packed shop pre-Christmas– with tinny music, screaming kids, irritated customers, all overstimulating noise that would usually leave me extremely irritable and snappy. The Minis toned it down just enough that I am not in complete meltdown even after today's 7-hour shift!

Happy wit product and calmer

I tried the Calmer Pro after using the calmer soft version for a few months
(Which I like
… very comfy). I think the Calmer Pro does give some more relief from the annoying buzzing frequencies that irritate me. I’m trying to dull the electric hum from a comms box outside my mum’s house. It is a whirring pulsating electric fan noise. I report the noise to EPA to complain and hope they do dampen the noise somehow. I can still hear it but I feel calmer so think it is working. Been wearing them at my home too so think the longer you wear them the more you notice the difference when you take them off.

Perhaps the best money I ever spent

Like many others, I didn't really notice much when I first put them in, but when I took them out, it felt like I was being hit by a truck made out of noise.
I wear them pretty much constantly, unless I'm wearing in-ears for music. I've worn them accidentally when swimming, and they've survived and stayed in nicely.

They're also really, really comfortable, especially compared to the Calmer 2 (sorry, Calmer 2) - they don't really feel like having anything in your ear. I'm quite sensitive when it comes to sensory things, and I don't mind them at all.

I'm writing this with someone typing about half a meter away from me, and while I still hear the sounds of their keyboard, it isn't grating like it used to be. Furthermore, I actually notice a significant difference on days I forget my calmer - I'm more exhausted, I'm grouchier, I have more issues with sensory things and I end up with a migraine more often, too.
They're also essential for certain rowdy D&D-sessions - I used to come home with my head literally ringing from the noise and these days, it's quiet.

They don't really remove any important sounds - voices still sound almost the same, I can still hear everything - except for the painful parts of sound.

That a bit of silicone and metal could make such a difference seems incredible, but that's how it is. They're absolutely worth every penny and if I ever lose them, I'll be sprinting over to order a new pair immediately.
