Not what I expected, hope they live up to the Hype

I use Flare Titanium Isolate plugs, had them for a few years now. Some friends noticed them at a very loud open mic night we both attended and asked me about them. I explained what they are for and purchased Earshades the next day for them as a gift, these seem to supersede the Isolates? . They are a lot different to the them in that they seem to have a lot less mass, which I thought helped with dampening? I hope they work well only time will tell.
They are concerned that the user advice advocates changing the silicon tips every month. Sorry guys that's nonsense especially at £13 a pop. They're gonna be wearing them for an hour or two every other week. If that's the case then they need to go down another path like ACS moulds. (Bet this review doesn't get shown now)

Useless

A waste of money…the cone shape just pushes them out of your ear as it expands, Never had that problem with the original Flare Isolates

Big improvement

The new Earshades are a big improvement over my older Flare ear plugs. Love that the metal plug is so much smaller making them more comfortable for longer. I also like that the new tips are one size and mould to your ears better. I still use my old ones as the tips are still available. I use them on my motorcycle and the new Earshades for sleeping.

Technical Specification

Earshade uses an aluminium/titanium stem with heat reactive memory foam to create a perfect seal and a one size fits all solution. Earshade uses metal stems to block sound, rather than absorb it. This results in higher sound quality and attenuation compared to traditional earplugs that absorb or filter noise.

Yes, every pair of Earshade® comes with a set of replaceable memory foam tips in a matching colour. Replacement tips can also be bought separately, giving you the freedom to mix and match your style.
Memory foam tips generally last about 1 month depending on how they are handled, used, and your body chemistry (earwax, oils, etc.). Naturally, frequent use will shorten their lifespan.
To ensure that your tips last as long as possible, we would recommend that you follow our fitting guides and cleaning instructions.
It is important that memory foam tips are regularly inspected for serviceability and are maintained in accordance with our instructions. Be sure to replace your tips when they start to flake, tear, or lose their memory foam properties (e.g. the foam loses its slow rebound time).

Our earplugs are designed specifically to block sound. Therefore there is a possibility that they will affect your ability to hear other sounds such as alarms, people, or warning systems.
Due to Bone Conduction (being able to hear sound through your skull as well as your ears) you will still be able to hear but at a much lower volume. If you are still unsure, it's best to try them out.
