Really useful

I use these alongside my calmers for when it all gets too much. They don’t block everything so I can use them in everyday situations and provide a much needed break for my often overloaded senses. As someone who finds earplugs generally impossible to fit in my ears properly these are relatively easy to fit in and comfortable.

Good fit and isolation. Replacement tips very expensive.

These fitted well and were easy to insert, though they were quite sore after an hour of use. They seemed to provide a good amount of isolation, particularly the higher frequencies. I was disappointed to read in the small print that Flare recommends replacing the ear foams monthly. For a regular user that's a lot of replacement tips and they only come in packs of 2.

Earshades at small (but loud) gig

I wore earshades for the first time last night at a gig.
Easy to put in and comfortable to wear.
I took them out during the last song just to see how much difference they were making. I certainly noticed the difference!
Will be wearing them at every gig I go to from now on.

Technical Specification

Earshade uses an aluminium/titanium stem with heat reactive memory foam to create a perfect seal and a one size fits all solution. Earshade uses metal stems to block sound, rather than absorb it. This results in higher sound quality and attenuation compared to traditional earplugs that absorb or filter noise.

Yes, every pair of Earshade® comes with a set of replaceable memory foam tips in a matching colour. Replacement tips can also be bought separately, giving you the freedom to mix and match your style.
Memory foam tips generally last about 1 month depending on how they are handled, used, and your body chemistry (earwax, oils, etc.). Naturally, frequent use will shorten their lifespan.
To ensure that your tips last as long as possible, we would recommend that you follow our fitting guides and cleaning instructions.
It is important that memory foam tips are regularly inspected for serviceability and are maintained in accordance with our instructions. Be sure to replace your tips when they start to flake, tear, or lose their memory foam properties (e.g. the foam loses its slow rebound time).

Our earplugs are designed specifically to block sound. Therefore there is a possibility that they will affect your ability to hear other sounds such as alarms, people, or warning systems.
Due to Bone Conduction (being able to hear sound through your skull as well as your ears) you will still be able to hear but at a much lower volume. If you are still unsure, it's best to try them out.
